Our History

We started making dog beds years ago for our dogs. Barrow is now a very big boy who requires orthopedic support. He weighs in excess of 100lbs and is prone to hip and leg problems, making it very uncomfortable for him to sleep on most store bought beds that his "mom" could afford.

We got so frustrated with the short lived poly-fill beds sold at most stores & pet shops, as they would quickly go flat under his weight in a short period of time. He needed much more orthopedic support than most beds could provide. Orthopedic dog beds are way too expensive these days! So we started making an orthopedic dog bed that would last, provide better orthopedic support, be easy to clean & maintain, and give our best buddies the best that we could offer them.

Our dogs give us so much...this was one small way we could repay them for all the pleasure & love they have brought into our lives.

As true Alaskan dog lovers...We started making more orthopedic beds for other dogs out there, who (like their human friends) deserve the best but can't always afford it. It has always brought a smile to our faces & warmth to our hearts to think of the pets who can enjoy long, comfortable naps on our beds.

We spend more time with our dogs and cats then we do with humans, it seemed a natural step to offer a pet sitting service, this gives us the opportunity to meet and interact with other peoples furry loved ones.

So...that's how we got started! And now you know where our hard earned money goes................. the Abby, Barrow, Essa, Cinder, Hollis, Sammy, Isis, Spreckles, Lando, Nelson & Osiris kibble fund:-)

Dog Fostering
We have been a foster family for puppies with the Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue Group for a considerable amount of time now. We usually foster pups up to about 5 months old while adoptive families are found. We love interacting with these pups and teaching them the basics (house training, Sit, Stay etc.) and find it very rewarding. If you are located in Alaska we urge you to check out the Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue Group website as they always need donations, additional foster families and of course adoptive families. Below are some of the pups that have been part of our family to date.
